Broadcast-Grade Underwater Cinematography, Based in the Cayman Islands

We produce broadcast- and documentary-grade underwater footage for marine research institutions, conservation organizations, and commercial clients — footage built to hold up under expert scrutiny, not just look good on a highlight reel.

Why Work With Riptide Images

Experienced PADI MSDT

Certified at instructor level, with in-water experience to film safely and effectively across a range of conditions, reef environments, current, depth, and the time constraints that come with real research and production schedules.

International Filming Experience

Underwater filming experience spanning Cayman, Bonaire, Thailand, and Australia means a working familiarity with different reef systems, water conditions, and dive logistics, not just one location

Cinematic Standards

What comes out of the water is treated as a finished cinematic asset, not raw footage, graded and edited to the same standard as our commercial and corporate work.

A Decade in Cayman's Waters

Ten years of experience filming Cayman's marine environments means we know the reefs, the conditions, and how to plan a shoot around them.

What We Offer

We work with marine researchers, conservation organizations, production companies, and commercial clients who need underwater footage they can rely on. Our underwater work is led by a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer with filming experience across reef systems in Cayman, Bonaire, Thailand, and Australia, and finished to the same cinematic post-production standard as everything else we produce.

Riptide Images - Black Icon Only

ReefS Go Live 2026

We were proud to once again partner with the Central Caribbean Marine Institute to produce Reefs Go Live, an annual live underwater broadcast connecting classrooms and ocean advocates around the world to Cayman's reefs in real time. This year, Riptide Images put together an entirely new production set to elevate the quality of the live stream, delivering sharper visuals and a more polished broadcast experience for viewers tuning in from around the globe.

Reefs Go Live also reached a new milestone this year: for the first time, the broadcast aired on live television, with Riptide Images playing a key role in bringing the program to Cayman Compass viewers. Producing a live broadcast, above and below the surface, under real production pressure with no second takes, is exactly the kind of work we specialize in.

At Riptide Images, we're proud to help CCMI bring ocean education to a wider audience each year, and to see Reefs Go Live's reach continue to grow.
