Did you know that the Elysia Subornata looks like a nudibranch but is actually a sacoglossan? It grows to about 5 cm (2 inches) and comes in shades of green, olive, and beige. This sea slug is found in the tropical western Atlantic Ocean, including the Caribbean Sea. It's even been suggested as a way to control the invasive alga Caulerpa taxifolia.

Did you know that the flying gurnard, also known as Dactylopterus volitans, is a bottom-dwelling fish found in tropical to warm temperate waters on both sides of the Atlantic? Despite its name, it doesn't fly but uses its impressive pectoral fins to 'walk' along the ocean floor. These fins are semi-translucent with phosphorescent electric-blue spots along the edges, making them a stunning sight. The flying gurnard has a boxy elongated body that tapers towards the tail and can grow up to 50 cm (20 inches) in length. It feeds on crustaceans like small crabs and shrimps, small fish, and bivalves like clams.

Did you know that the flame box crab, also known as Calappa flammea, gets its name because its large claws can cover its face, making it look like it's enclosed in a box? Its carapace is bulky and rounded, growing up to 10 cm (3.9 inches) wide. These fascinating crabs are found in the Caribbean waters, living on sandy bottoms ranging from 1 to 15 meters deep. The vibrant colors and patterns on its shell provide excellent camouflage, helping it evade predators. Flame box crabs are carnivores, feeding on small invertebrates.
